Actor Dean’s film snapped up by festivals
The Bolton on Dearne actor was delighted when the chilling short The Railway Carriage was picked for a screening at the first Goldensun Short Film Festival in Malta in January.
And now the psychological horror, directed by 21-year-old Ross Adgar from Doncaster on location on The Elsecar Heritage Railway, is set for another screening.

It follows outings at Cutting Edge Film Festival in Newcastle, Scream Vention in Dublin and Digi-Con in Doncaster.

“It’s another proud moment as an actor for me to be selected for this latest festival.
“It’s also great to see my friend Emma Dark having her film Seize The Night screened, too.
“Emma was the one who helped me get my TV pilot Up North on the regional channel Essex TV.

The pilot for Dean’s comedy, Up North, is now available on Essex TV and Dean said the feedback so far had been “very good, with many people enjoying my silly humour”.
He added: “I have also just finished another film called Megan with Ross Adgar, the same director I worked with on The Railway Carriage.
“This time I play a character called Callum who is trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world whilst looking for his girlfriend.”
