The Railway Carriage will be shown in London at A Night of Short Film's Three Day Festival over the bank holiday weekend at the end of the month.

It follows outings at Cutting Edge Film Festival in Newcastle, Scream Vention in Dublin and Digi-Con in Doncaster.

The film garnered rave reviews from movie critics after being one of 50 independent films selected for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last August from more than 2,100 submissions.

“It was a fun shoot but a very depressing role,” he said. “John was really cool, he was such a great character to play.

“It’s another proud moment as an actor for me to be selected for this latest festival.

“It’s also great to see my friend Emma Dark having her film Seize The Night screened, too.

“Emma was the one who helped me get my TV pilot Up North on the regional channel Essex TV.

“She is a true credit to this industry because we both help support each other and she always helps to promote my work.”

The pilot for Dean’s comedy, Up North, is now available on Essex TV and Dean said the feedback so far had been “very good, with many people enjoying my silly humour”.

He added: “I have also just finished another film called Megan with Ross Adgar, the same director I worked with on The Railway Carriage.

“This time I play a character called Callum who is trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world whilst looking for his girlfriend.”
