EVENTS: Strong comedy line-up at the Civic

A FIVE-strong line-up awaits comedy fans at the Civic this week.

The Grin and Tonic Comedy Club is back at the theatre at 8pm Friday (30).

Among the performers are Gavin Webster, voted Comedian's Comedian in a national poll of his fellow stand-ups, and a veteran of Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Pete Selwood, Best New Yorkshire Act Award winner from The Emily Atack Show, Laugh Lessons & The Likely Dads, and Justina Seselskaite, a winner at the British Comedy Guide Talent Awards last year.

Karl White, who has drawn praise for material which is “understated, but very cleverly done” and compere Elliot J Huntley complete the bill.
