Big Country tuning up for Rotherham gig

They play the Cutler’s next Saturday, May 11, and promoter Mick Hill said tickets were in short supply.

SOUNDS from a Big Country will be coming to the cosy confines of the Cutler’s Arms in Rotherham next weekend.

Big Country are one of the biggest names in Scottish music history, having clocked up three top ten albums and top consecutive top 40 hits during the mid-1980s.

Founder members Bruce Watson and Mark Brzezicki have rarely toured since the death of original from man Stuart Adamson in 2001 but will be hitting the festival circuit this summer ahead of a major UK tour to celebrate the 35th anniversary album of their cherished album Steeltown.

The Cutler’s gig is a rare chance to see them in action in relatively intimate surroundings.
