BEANFEST newcomers Rosehill went down a storm on their BeanFest debut as the festival made its return in on a smaller scale.

The summer music celebration moved to the Cutlers’ Arms in the town centre after a decade at Rawmarsh’s Roundwood Farm.

Saturday’s showcase at the Westgate pub was described as “everything we hoped, wanted and more” by organiser Simon Hartley.

As well as Rosehill, seen performing in our picture, there were sets from Dead Blonde Stars, The Undies, Saints Among Us, The Leathernecks, Metallicish and Tool Shed.

Simon said the day-long festival had raised £1,230 for Hallam FM Cash for Kids South Yorkshire & Derbyshire, taking the overall BeanFest charity total past the £35,000 mark.

The BeanFest team will be back in October for Hallowbean 2022, their autumn festival on October 28 at the Imperial Music Venue in Mexborough.
