'We're ready' says Warnock

ROTHERHAM United manager Neil Warnock says his players are in the right frame of mind for their biggest match of the season.

A travelling army of around 3,000 supporters will follow them down the M1 for their Championship relegation crunch at MK Dons tomorrow.

A win could lift the Millers, the most improved side in the division, nine points above their opponents and the drop zone with only five games to go and leave them strongly placed to secure a third year in the second tier.

But Warnock, a hot favourite to be named the division's Manager of the Month today after taking five wins from the last seven, isn't looking that far ahead.

He told the Advertiser: “If we win we could be nine clear with five to go, and obviously that's utopia isn't it.

“All I am saying to the players is, give me the best you can and hopefully that will be good enough.

“We realise how difficult it is going to be and while MK Dons have been struggling, they did beat us 4-1 early in the season so we know it's not going to the easy.

“We would like to continue this good run and if we come away from Dons undefeated then I’ll be delighted."

There's much more on the big game in this week's Advertiser.
