We'll be fighting fight, say Titans after lay-off

ROTHERHAM Titans won't worry about being ring-rusty when they head to Leinster tomorrow night in the British and Irish Cup.

After last week's frustrating call-off, preceeded by a blank weekend, Titans head to face the B&I  pool table-toppers who were 12-9 winners when the sides met in Rotherham in November.

But the lay-off has meant upping the training paddock intensity - and coach Mark Jones is confident his side will be ready for the test.

“We’ve upped training this week with contact scenarios because we need to make sure we’re not undercooked physically when it comes to our next match,” he added.

“The fact that we’ve had a couple of weeks off means that we’ve had time for players to recover and given them a little mental break as well. We’re looking forward to getting our teeth into the second half of the season.”
