We deserved more, says Scott

ROTHERHAM United chief Andy Scott reckons his side didn't get what they deserved for a gutsy performance at Gillingham last night.

After enduring a difficult first half, the Millers hit back to enjoy the better of the second period and had the hosts on the rack in the last half-hour, with Sam Wood and Alex Revell going close. Both sides had to settle for a point from a 0-0 draw.

Scott said: "We're disappointed we only got a point because in the second half, certainly the last half-hour, we were the only team that was going to win it.

"There were balls flashing across the box but we just couldn't get the final touch. Our play was terrific at times.

"On the face of it it was a very good point and a clean sheet but when you assess it it was two points dropped, although it has added to our unbeaten run and we've got to take the positives out of that."

The draw kept the Millers, now unbeaten in four games,  three points ahead of Gillingham but a win on the night for Oxford means the gap to the League Two play-offs is now five points.

Bristol Rovers are the visitors to Don Valley Stadium on Saturday.
