Warrington set for cup recall

ROTHERHAM United take on Sheffield United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tonight with goalkeeper Andy Warrington set for a recall.

GOALKEEPER Andy Warrington will step back into the Rotherham United side for tonight's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Sheffield United.

Manager Andy Scott confirmed that the experienced stopper, who has been nudged down the pecking order this season, will deputise for Conrad Logan as the Millers look to snap a four-match run without a win.

Having received a bye in the first round, victory tonight would put Rotherham into the area quarter-final and provide a much-needed morale-booster before the all-important League Two campaign resumes on Saturday.

Scott said: "It's about winning. Fans want to see their team win whatever the competition, even a friendly. We've got a great draw and I think it will be a good game."

Millers left-back Tom Newey added: "It's one of those competitions people mock but you want to go far in it. I've been far in it in the past and it's a great spectacle when you do.

"It's a local derby and it's something we're looking forward to."
