Under orders for top cycling event

TOP cyclists and thousands of fans from throughout the country head for Tickhill this Sunday for one os the biggest day’s in the sport’s calendar.

The increasingly-successful YESS Tickhill Grand Prix boasts the biggest prize fund in the British cycling calendar with the eight races expected to attract 500 riders from the UK and overseas.

Other than the anticipated cash fund — which organisers hope will to the £10,000 mark —the riders are attracted by the fantastic vocal and enthusiastic crowds, slick organisation, big screens, professional commentary, generous sprint primes, party atmosphere and live streaming of all the races.

Said an event spokesman: “The crowds that come in their thousands are not just cycling enthusiasts, the Tickhill Grand Prix attracts a huge demographic range of spectators of all ages. The public love it because there is never a dull moment, it’s free admission and they can get close up to the action seeing some of the top riders in the country racing inches from each other.”

Racing starts at 11.30am and runs through until 5.30pm with traffic restrictions in place.
