TITANS forwards coach Steve Salvin believes that the side will be fitter and stronger this year, as the pre-season begins to gather momentum.

TITANS forwards coach Steve Salvin believes that the side will be fitter and stronger this season, as the pre-season begins to gather momentum.

Now a fortnight into the summer programme, ahead of September's Championship kick off, Salvin and head coach Justin Burnell have been delighted with what they've seen so far.

And with skills guru Rhys Edwards on board, Salvin can already see the early promise starting to bear fruit.

“It's looking very good. We’ll certainly be physically bigger and more athletic in the pack but the one thing is that as a team we’ll also be highly skilled,” he said.

“We have Rhys here now working as skills coach on a daily basis and he’ll bring plenty to what we do.

“We do want to be more physical but we don’t want that to have an impact on our mobility and skill. We want to be fitter and ready for the Championship.”
