Titans to name new skipper

Several players are in the frame for the captaincy and the announcement will be made at next week's Titans Tuesday, which gets under way at 7.30pm.

Meanwhile coach Mark Jones says the squad has been given a few days off this week in readiness for a tough build-up to the September 6 opener.

"We've completed the first phase and now we'll really start to hit the fitness work. I want us to be really fit this season," he said.
