Titans: No concerns over signing drug-ban prop

TITANS’ say they have no worries about new signing Marshall Gadd, two years after he completed a ban for drugs misuse.

The 28-year-old prop forward comes to Clifton Lane from Moseley, who resurrected his career after a RFU-imposed suspension.

He was found to have the banned steroid stanozol—the drug used by the infamous sprinter Ben Johnson—in his system following a random test after playing for previous club Manchester in October, 2008.

Gadd was sidelined for two years until the midlanders gave him another chance and he was a regular with Kevin Maggs’ side last term, enough for Rotherham coach Andre Bester to offer him a contract.

Said Bester: “Marshall’s problems are all behind him now and he wants to move on with his career.
