Titans makes changes for Esher visit

TITANS will make several changes for tomorrow’s visit of Esher—but coach Andre Bester says they won’t take the basement boys lightly.

After last Friday’s grueller at Nottingham, Bester is expected to rotate several squad members to face Mike Schmid’s winless strugglers.

But he knows that the Surrey outfit won’t be pushovers.

“There will be changes because we have to keep players fresh,” he said.

“It is a chance for some members of the squad who haven’t featured in recent games to come in but that’s not because we are playing a team that’s at the bottom of the Championship. We will give them every respect because we know they can come here and push us, especially having had some tough games against them in recent years.”

Esher have found life difficult since escaping relegation last season, with Schmid’s squad having been ravaged by injury. Last week they were battered 37-3 on home soil by local rivals London Welsh, making it five straight defeats.
