TITANS will hand debuts to new scrum-half Jimmy Williams and prop Ben Hooper for tomorrow’s big Yorkshire derby with Leeds.

And coach Andre Bester says they’re not panic measures following last week’s disappointing 16-11 defeat at Championship newcomers London Scottish.

Williams has impressed in training since Rotherham bought out his contract from Birmingham Bees while Hooper did well after coming on in the second half at Scottish.

Bester is confident the changes will pay off against a Leeds side still smarting from their opening day defeat at home to London Welsh but says there’s no need for concern after the trip to South-West London.

“Of course it was disappointing to lose at Scottish in a game we really should have won,” said Bester. “Up until our second yellow card we were in a good position but then it went wrong. But there were a lot of positive things to come out of the game and people have to remember that we are a developing side."

Tomorrow's game starts at 3pm.
