Titans face rivals in cup shootout

TITANS chief Andre Bester will begin plotting his promotion play-off campaign tonight, as Rotherham make the short hop up the M18 to face Doncaster in the British and Irish Cup.

With safety secured in the Championship, thanks to Friday's losing bonus point at Moseley, the Clifton Lane men have the chance to step off the gas in the final fortnight of the regular season.

Bester will make several changes at Castle Park tonight (7.30pm) to assess players who haven't had much game time in the Championship programme. After gleaning just one draw from their opening two cup games, Titans chances of qualifying for the next stage of the competition are slim.

"But we've always said that the league and the play-offs are our priority and that's the way it will stay," said Bester.

Titans play their league finale at home to Bristol on Saturday, which will determine who they meet in the play-offs. The last British and Irish game is at Birmingham on February 26.
