Titans' cup campaign ends

ROTHERHAM Titans' British and Irish Cup campaign came to an end at rainy Castl;e Park as rivals Doncaster eased to a 46-29 group game win.

Playing a largely second team, with only two men who started at Moseley last Friday, Titans made a fist of it in the first half only to fall away badly in the second.

Knight's Christian Lewis-Pratt ran in two first half tries for the hosts as they turned around 18-15 ahead, Titans having two tries from Ross Doneghan to their credit.

It was a different story after the break as Lewis-Pratt took his tally to four and Olly Denton and Chris Walker added the others for Doncaster.

Titans, now with just one draw in their three cup games, had consolation tries from Dan Baines and Byron Godfrey.
