Titans coach confident of win

MARK Jones is confident that his Titans side can turn the tables in the British and Irish Cup, starting with Sunday’s clash against Moseley.

Defeat against the Birmingham club last week means that Rotherham can’t afford another setback if they’re to qualify for the knockout stages.

“We’re not feeling great in terms of results, it’s very disappointing because we feel we can  perform so much better,” he said.

“We have to make sure we don’t fall down in areas that we have done in the previous three games and continue building on the positives. We can still qualify for the quarter finals, 100 per cent we can.

“For me, we have to keep working. It’s all about the level of execution, in whatever sport, and you have to perform to a good level and we’ve just dropped below that in the last few weeks.

“From a tactical point of view, our discipline and our set piece was below where it needed to be in the first half at Moseley. That took all of our momentum away and we were unable to capitalise on a very strong wind.”

Kick off on Sunday is 2pm and you’ll find more Titans news, a look at Jones’ first six months at the helm plus a special family ticket voucher in tomorrow’s Advertiser.
