Stubbs expects a response

MANAGER Alan Stubbs says his players will be out to prove a point when they take on Bristol City at the New York Stadium tomorrow.

The squad have had a fortnight to stew over the 4-0 reverse to South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley, a result which left them down with the early Championship straddlers, and Stubbs expects the right kind of reaction.

He told the Advertiser: “We know we let ourselves down as a group and I know the players are determined to put that right. That kind of result only leaves you with one feeling and that is one of utter disappointment.

“You have to be very honest and look each other in the eye and look at your own performance. I don't think anyone could argue that it comes to the conclusion of, must be better.”

The Millers expect to have Lee Frecklington, Tom Adeyemi and Greg Halford all back available to play but new signing Dexter Blackstock is still a week away from match sharpness.
