Strike ace to join Millers

MANAGER Steve Evans predicts that Premier League starlet Adam Morgan could become a big hit for Rotherham United.

The Millers beat off competition from a string of League One and League Two clubs to land the prolific teenage striker on a one-month loan deal from Liverpool, with the formalities set to be competed this morning.

Morgan is highly rated at Anfield and despite his tender years, Evans says he has all the attributes to give his team extra goal power.

He told the Advertiser: "It is very rare that Liverpool loan players to League Two and it has taken the size of our support, the superb stadium and our standing as a club to get him here.

"Adam's record at youth, U21, reserves and England youth level speaks for itself. He has scored in pre-season for Liverpool and played in the first team in major cups this season. He is very highly thought of.

"There is no chance of Liverpool selling him but he is coming here initially for a month and if he is 100 per cent happy, and vice versa, there is every chance the deal could be extended."

Morgan (18) is clear to play in tomorrow's FA Cup third round tie at Aldershot.
