Striding to success

FOR the second year in succession, Kimberworth Striders’ men were the winners of the South Yorkshire Five Mile Road League.

Captain Dan Birkinshaw picked up the trophy after the final event at Worsborough, along with team members Chris Cotton, Zak Mellard and Kevin Doyle.

The ladies team finished in fourth place thanks to Claire Spencer, Lindsy Gray, and Samantha James while the Ladies O35 award went to Kimberworth runner Faye Bird.

The club held their annual presentation night last Friday when the Terry Walker Achievement Trophy was won by Kevin Doyle and the Sportsperson of the Year prize went toMalcolm Proctor.
