Striders impress at top event

KIMBERWORTH Striders scooped a handful of prizes when they had three runners in the first ten in the Norton 9 road race on Sunday.

Chris Cotton took fifth place in 50:10, Shaun Wright was eighth in 51:56 and Kevin Doyle took ninth in 51:59.

As well as winning individual place prize, they also took the men’s team award.

The girls were also successful, winning individual and team prizes.

Claire Spencer was second lady home in 58:31, Samantha James was fifth lady in 63:36 and Samantha Weatherall timed 69:26 to complete the team.
