Shearer on comeback trail

ROTHERHAM United goalkeeper Scott Shearer stepped up his comeback from injury by playing 90 minutes in the reserves' win over Oldham Athletic.

The stopper, who has been out for four months, took his place in a youthful Millers side which won 3-2 at Roundwood yesterday.

Connor Bell's early opener was wiped out by two goals from Connor Hughes before half time but the Millers deservedly levelled with a second from Bell on 64 minutes.

Further pressure was rewarded when James Cadman volleyed in a super last-minute winner to seal a deserved victory.
