THE Millers rode their luck to defeat Accrington Stanley at Don Valley Stadium last night—but manager Ronnie Moore wasn't complaining.

The livelier visitors missed several chances and were foiled by some good saves from Andy Warrington before losing 2-0 to strikes from Omar Daley, on his full debut on loan from Bradford City, and a 20th of the season from Adam Le Fondre.

Moore said: "It was a massive win. It wasn't the best performance but I'm not too worried about that to be honest.

"We've played well and got beat but this time we had a little bit of luck that we haven't had in the past.

"We lived a little bit of a charmed life in and around our box and our keeper has made a couple of good saves but you get into the top three with results like this on a wet and rainy Tuesday night."

Le Fondre's goal deep in stoppage time was his 50th for the club in less than two seasons since signing from Rochdale.

"It's a fantastic achievement," said Moore.

Shrewsbury Town visit Don Valley on Saturday in a second versus third clash.
