Roebuck lands Olympic slot

ROTHERHAM'S Joe Roebuck is through to this summer's Olympics after stunning swim at the weekend's British Championships - and Paul Drinkhall is expcted to follow him.

 

Former Rotherham Metro ace Roebuck is through to the 400m individual medley in London after taking silver at the new Olympic pool yesterday.. He finished behind Roberto Pavoni but his time of 4:12.48 was enough to make the cut.
And Drinkhall, who lives in Clifton, took another step to fulfilling his Olympic dreams when he won the men's singles title in the English National Championships at Ponds Forge.
Drinkhall will now be at the mercy of the selectors but it will be a major shock if he doesn't get the call.
