Retained list announced

ROTHERHAM United manager Steve Evans this week starts the job of re-shaping his squad for next season.

He and his assistant Paul Raynor met each of the existing players individually today, after which it was revealed that skipper Craig Morgan and midfielder Ben Pringle had been offered new and improved terms for next season.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Scott Loach and Conor Newton have been made available for transfer while Richard Brindley, Mat Sadler, Mark Bradley, Rob Milsom and Tony Thompson have been released.

The players retained under written contract for 2015/16 are Adam Collin, Kari Arnason, Kirk Broadfoot, Richard Wood, Frazer Richardson, Lee Frecklington, Jordan Bowery, Paul Green, Danny Ward, Matt Derbyshire, Richard Smallwood and Jonson Clarke-Harris.

Evans stressed that summer recruitment would be based upon quality to help the club compete in what he expects to be a stronger Championship next term.
