Rams first for Millers

ROTHERHAM United have been handed a tasty start to the Championship season.

They kick off away to last season's beaten play-off finalists Derby County on Saturday, August 9, and start their home league programme against League One champions Wolverhampton Wanderers the following weekend.

The newly-promoted Millers have to wait three months until for their first meeting with local rivals Sheffield Wednesday, the two meeting at Hillsborough on Saturday, November 8. The return is at the New York Stadium on Saturday, March 21.

Huddersfield Town visit the New York Stadium on Boxing Day and the season ends with another tasty Yorkshire derby away to Leeds United on May 2.

Meanwhile, the Capital One Cup has thrown up a home tie against Fleetwood Town, week commencing August 11.
