Racer follows in F1 star's tyretracks

CLASSIC racer Jamie Brashaw is reliving one of Formula One’s golden eras after buying a car once driven by former race star Riccardo Patrese.

After class success in his F1 March, the Maltby speedster has now bought Patrese’s 1978 Arrows car, which was raced for two years on the Grand Prix circuits.

Also added to his classic stable is a F2 Chevron B25 and he will be driving one of his cars in the Gold Cup meeting at Oulton Park on the Bank Holiday weekend.

His season this year has been curtailed by the cars not being ready for the track and he had to miss the Silverstone Classic Festival where over the years he has plenty of success.
