Oh brother...Andrew wins

ANDREW Farmer was triumphant in the final competition of the season at West Melton Bowling Club — beating his brother in the shootout.

Staged on Bank Holiday Monday, 32 bowlers took part with the weather good and a decent crown watching.

Once again the weather was good and a decent crowd enjoyed the very good bowling

Brothers Andrew and Mark met in the final with Andrew winning 21-17 to follow on from his triumph in the Easter competition at the venue.

The competition was sponsored by Don and Beryl Cooke

Results: Quarter Finals — Scott Parkes 21, Nigel Copping 7; Andrew Farmer 21,  Rob Thompson 11; Ian Chappell 13, Anton Haigh 21; Jonathan Hardwick 12, Mark Farmer 21.

Semi Finals — Andrew Farmer 21, Scott Parkes 5; Mark Farmer 21, Anton Haigh 10.

Final — Andrew Farmer 21, Mark Farmer 17.
