No fear in Millers camp

STEVE Evans says Rotherham United won't be daunted by their trip to in-form Cardiff City tomorrow.

The Millers are without a win in seven Championship matches while the Welsh outfit have won five on the spin at home and are closing in on the play-off places.

They are favourites to collect the points but Evans says his players will embrace the occasion.

He told the Advertiser: "No-one will give us a chance but we go there with no pressure and no expectation from outside our group. We've beaten Blackburn and Leeds and competed with top sides like Watford and Derby and we're not frightened by these games, we embrace them.

“Against Blackpool last week, we were excellent in the first half and we're going to have to keep the ball and move it well again because if we give it away then Cardiff can hurt you.”

Defender Frazer Richardson is back available from injury but Kirk Broadfoot will be out for three weeks having cracked a collar bone against Blackpool.

Much more on the Millers, including why loan striker Luciano Becchio might be nearing a return, in this week's Advertiser.
