New striker joins Millers

THE Millers could have a new striker on show when they play Accrington Stanley tonight.

Liam Henderson has signed from Watford on a one-month emergency loan to cover for injuries in attack.

The move comes after Ryan Taylor was ruled out of tonight's Don Valley clash with a groin injury sustained against Oxford United on Saturday.

Henderson (21) has had several loan spells in the Football League with Hartlepool, Colchester and Aldershot whilst also making 21 senior appearances for Watford's first team, all from the substitutes' bench.

He said: "I was sat in the dressing room after a reserve game last night and the manager took me to one side and said that Rotherham were interested.

"As soon as I had heard of the interest I was more than happy to join the club. I now just want to get out and play as soon as possible and show the fans what I can do."

Henderson is also relishing the chance to play alongside Millers' top scorer Adam Le Fondre.

"Obviously he is a proven goal scorer and I am looking forward to meeting him, and the rest of the team, and hopefully striking up a good understanding," he said.
