Morgan wants to stay

CRAIG Morgan says he would like to stay and see the job through with Rotherham United.

Plucked from Preston North End on loan when he had his contract terminated there, the centre-back has justified manager Steve Evans' faith so far with a clutch of assured displays.

He's a free agent in the new year, by which time he hopes to have done enough to stay in work, preferably with the Millers.

He told the Advertiser: "I'm here until January and when that time comes, if my form has been good and there's something on the table for me here, then great. If not, I am a free agent in January.

"I'm in the shop window but I want to commit myself to Rotherham United. I'm happy to sign here and I am waiting for them to come with an offer.

"At the moment I'm in a waiting game and all I can do is go out and try the best I can every week. It keeps you on your toes."
