Millers make fourth signing

ROTHERHAM United have completed their second signing of the day with the capture of defender Nicky Hunt.

After bringing former captain Ian Sharps back to the club from Shrewsbury Town, manager Steve Evans has signed right-back Hunt on a pre-contract and legal agreement to join the Millers when his current contract at Preston North End expires on June 30.

The 28-year-old was a regular for Bolton Wanderers until 2010, making over 100 league appearances for the Trotters, and several in the Europa League, before joining Bristol City in the summer of 2010. He enjoyed 18 months at Ashton Gate before moving to Preston earlier this year.

Hunt becomes Evans' fourth signing of the summer, with Daniel Nardiello and Kayode Odejayi having also joined.
