Millers launch search for new boss

ROTHERHAM United are looking for a new manager after parting company with Ronnie Moore.

The club today confirmed that he and number two Jimmy Mullen have left by mutual consent after 18 months in charge.

Coach Andy Liddell will be caretaker manager, assisted by Paul Warne and Andy Dibble, until the end of the season.

A club statement said: "The club would like to place on record our thanks to Ronnie and Jimmy for their whole-hearted contribution to Rotherham United over a number of years in both playing and coaching capacities.

"Both will always be warmly received by Rotherham United and we wish them well for the future."

Moore has paid the price for a poor run of only four wins from the last 16 games, culminating in Friday's 5-0 derby defeat at Chesterfield.
