The Millers chairman says there is no closing date and that the process will take as long as it takes.

He said: “Some big names have come in and there are some good calibre managers wanting to come on board. We are going to be spoilt for choice but we are not going to rush. We are going to take our time to look, study and decide and that also includes considering anyone who hasn't applied who may fit the bill.

“We will consult with people outside the club who have been in football a long time but after eight years here we are more qualified to assess the type of person we need to take on the challenges.
