Good start important, says skipper

ROTHERHAM United tackle Crewe Alexandra in the first of three successive home games tonight with skipper Danny Harrison warning: "We've got to start on the front foot."

The Millers put in another flat-footed first-half performance at Barnet on Saturday before upping their game after the break to earn a 1-1 draw.

Harrison says the team needs to be on their game from first to last if they are to start closing the eight-point gap to the League Two play-offs.

He said: "We've got a mountain climb and we've got to stick together. We know where we are going wrong. We've got to start games better and give a full 90-minute performance and we haven't done that for a while.

"We dominated the second half on Saturday but we're not doing the things that are going to kill teams off. We had a good talk in the dressing room between ourselves after the game and hopefully now we can improve."

Victory tonight would take Rotherham a point above Crewe. Kick-off at Don Valley Stadium is 7.45pm.
