Golf ace impresses
ROTHERHAM’S Sam Young continued his excellent early season form with a fifth place finish at the York Rose Bowl at Strensall.
Held on Sunday, Sam shot rounds of 73 and 69 to leave him four shots behind eventual winner Roger Roper.
Wath's Richard Jones will have been encouraged by his own performance, finishing on the same score as Sam after rounds of 70 and 72.
Mike Hammond, also from Wath, finished in a tie for 37th with Sitwell member Matt Langley, both on 153.
