Tributes after fan dies at Rotherham United
The two separate incidents happened minutes apart just before the match against Sheffield Wednesday with one occurring on Don Street and the other incident outside a turnstile.
A spokeswoman for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said crew were called at 2.40pm to reports a man had fainted.

Hide AdThe spokeswoman said: “We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance took him to Rotherham Hospital.
“We had another call at 2.47pm to reports a patient was unconscious.
“We sent a clinical supervisor and ambulance and that patient was taken to Rotherham Hospital.”
It is understood an off-duty Metropolitan Police officer also came to the aid of the man who took ill at the turnstile.

Hide AdOne of the men died in hospital, and the other man is still believed to be in hospital.
Rotherham United Football Club has paid tribute to the male supporter that died.
A club statement said: “Everyone at Rotherham United FC would like to extend our deep condolences to family members and friends of the individual at this time.
“Our thoughts are with them.”
Police said they are not treating the incidents as suspicious.

Hide AdA spokesman for Sheffield Wednesday Football Club said: “We are saddened to learn of the passing of a Rotherham United FC supporter who was taken ill before kick-off.
“It’s very sad when someone goes to a football match and does not return.
“Everyone at the club sends their deepest condolences to his family and friends at this sad time.”
