Millers unveil new strip

ROTHERHAM United have unveiled their new home shirt for the 2016/17 season which includes new sponsor Hodge Clemco.

The shirt –  manufactured by Puma Teamwear – is the traditional Millers red while the sleeves remain white. A yellow trim under the arms and on the collar provides a throwback to the 1980/81 kit when the club stormed to the old Division Three championship.

There is also a return for the conventional collar.

Hodge Clemco’s logo will take the place of Parkgate Shopping on the front of the Millers’ shirt, while the retail outlet moves to the back.

Commercial Director Steve Coakley said: “This season’s home shirt has once again incorporated the traditional and popular features which have now become synonymous with Rotherham United.

“In addition to this, we have added a yellow trim from one of our most popular shirts over the years giving this strip a real retro feel and we are delighted to have Hodge Clemco on board as our new home shirt sponsor, who are thrilled with the look and feel of the 2016/17 kit.

The new strip isn’t yet available for supporters to purchase but it is hoped to be in-store and online during the first week of June.

The Millers 2016/17 away kit will be released next week.
