Knee surgery for Rotherham United winger Chiedozie Ogbene

The 23-year-old flyer, who has taken his superb form during last year's League One promotion push in the Championship, suffered the damage in training on Friday.

"It's bad news on Chieo," said manager Paul One after the Millers's 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town at AESSEAL New York Stadium today. "He's had a scan and he's seeing a surgeon on Monday. He'll be out for a minimum of six to eight weeks."

The loss of Ogbene is a major blow for Rotherham who were hit by a 95th-minute Terriers equaliser after Ben Wiles had fired in a stunning first-half opener.

"Fortunately, his absence will coincide with two international breaks," Warne said. "He might miss five or six games.

"He's a big part of how we play. He's a big attacking threat for us. Today, we missed him. I think he would have got us up the pitch and caused no end of problems.

"It's not only when he has the ball. His presence would have stopped (Harry) Toffolo, who was pretty instrumental in Huddersfield's second-half performance.

"He would have pushed Toffolo back. It's no disrespect to Wilesy (Ben Wiles) - I thought Wilesy played really well in that position - but Chieo on the wing is another level."

Town drew level when Pipa's shot took a huge deflection off Angus MacDonald.

Warne added: “I think out of possession the lads couldn't work any harder. Huddersfield don't give you a minute on the ball and they forced us into a lot of unusual errors.

“I was really pleased with the lads for giving everything. There are only so many waves that you can stop really. It's doubly cruel to concede an own goal. I would rather someone bend one in from 30 yards."
