ROTHERHAM Titans put a slow start behind them to race to a comfortable win at Chester and keep on the pace near the top of National Two North ahead of an important weekend.

Trailing 12-0 midway through the first half, Titans clicked into gear and claimed five tries to win 34-17 and complete a double over their rivals, having beaten them 33-28 at Clifton Lane a week before.

The win moved Titans third in the table ahead of Saturday's trip to Tynedale and a keen eye will also be kept on events at Hull, where the leaders take on second-placed Sedgley Park.

Centre Jamie Cooke claimed two of the tries at Chester and Rikki Stout, Keifer Laxton and Connor Field also went over. Lloyd Hayes slotted two conversions and Joe Carlisle added a conversion and a penalty.

Kick-off at Tynedale is 2pm.
