Dominic's title on a Plate

ROTHERHAM Golf Club’s Dominic Moon was crowned the Sheffield Plate champion at Hallamshire following a exciting finish to the 36 hole event.

Following rounds of 71 and 76, Dominic was tied with Wheatley’s Steve Brennan, meaning the pair faced a sudden death play-off.

They continued to play superb golf in testing conditions before a fifth play-off hole birdie in a wintery downpour gave the 21-year-old the title and added to the list of previous winners from the Thrybergh club.
