Delight as Nav cards win

ROTHERHAM’S Nav Mansouri claimed his fifth straight win, beating Welshman Gary Cooper at Magna, with trainer Dave Coldwell knocked out with his progress.

The 24-year-old won all six rounds at the eight-fight show, going close to stopping Cooper with some devastating shots.

Coldwell was delighted aftewards.

He said: “Nav was absolutely outstanding. He’s trained hard since joining me and I was confident that it would pay off in the ring.

“He picked some fantastic shots and everyone in the crowd was impressed by his performance.

“He had the lad in all sorts of trouble and Nav is definitely going to go far in the fight game.”

Maltby’s Nathan McCann also had the crowd on their feet with a stunning debut win against Stretford’s Damien Turner.
