NEW goalkeeper Adam Collin says the Millers can expect plenty of physical battles in League One.

NEW goalkeeper Adam Collin says Rotherham United can expect plenty of physical battles in League One.

The 28-year-old recruit arrives from Carlisle United, where he clocked up many games in the third tier and played in a couple of Wembley finals.

Released by Carlisle due to cash constraints at Brunton Park, he is now ready for  another stab at a league he is all too familiar with.

"League One is very physical," he told the Advertiser. "MK Dons pass it around but a lot of the teams are quite direct. They press high up the pitch and prefer to play their football in the opposition half. It's a tough, tough league."

Collin (28) will battle it out with Scott Shearer for the goalkeeper's jersey after signing a two-year deal.

"Rotherham United is a club on the up and a progression in my career," he added.
