Cameras target Rotherham motorists

SPEEDING motorists are being targeted by a team of officers aiming to make the borough’s roads safer by killing the speed of traffic.

The team from South Yorkshire’s Safety Camera Partnership will be patrolling various locations equipped with mobile speed cameras from today.

The locations subject to patrols include: A57, Anston; Rowms Lane, Swinton; Meadow Bank Road, Kimberworth; Doncaster Road, Dalton and Thrybergh; Bawtry Road, Brinsworth; Bawtry Road, Wickersley and Brecks; and Bawtry Road and Rotherham Road, Hellaby and Maltby.

The other roads subject to patrols are: Sandygate, Wath; School Road, Wales Road and Station Road, Wales and Kiveton; Doncaster Road, Wath; Melton Green, West Melton; Middle Lane South, Herringthorpe; and Pontefract Road, Brampton.
