Brogan strikes twice to fell Rams

STEPEN Brogan scored twice as a strong Rotherham United reserves side beat Derby County at Don Valley Stadium last night.

The out-of-favour utility man reminded the watching Ronnie Moore that he is still desperate to make an impression at the club with two super late strikes in a 3-1 win.

After Callum Ball had put the visitors into an early lead, the Millers equalised when Ryan Taylor marked his return to fitness with a goal just before the hour mark.

Brogan weaved past two challenges to curl Rotherham into the lead from 20 yards and then completed the scoring with a cracking shot into the bottom corner two minutes from time.

Reserves manager Andy Liddell had nine seniors in his starting 11, including Jamie Green, Marcus Marshall, Tom Elliott, Paul Warne and loanee Dean Holden.
