Blank start for new Millers boss

ANDY Scott had to settle for a point in his first game in charge of Rotherham United this afternoon against Hereford United at Don Valley Stadium.

The Millers responded to his arrival with a good performance but could not find a way through in a 0-0 draw.

Skipper Ryan Cresswell had a header cleared off the line and Ryan Taylor was thwarted by a last ditch block from Stefan Sam in the first half.

The one-way traffic continued in the second period, with Nick Fenton and Cresswell again denied from close range while Joe Colbeck hit the post from an acute angle in a rare Hereford break.

Ryan Taylor forced yet another save from Bulls keeper Adam Bartlett in injury time as the visitors hung on to frustrate the Millers’ attempts to make up ground in the League Two promotion race.
