Big freeze hangs over sport
AS the cold snap continues to bite, sport on local council pitches is already in doubt for this coming weekend.
Rotherham Borough Council has announced that teams with bookings will be contacted by the end of the week if pitches are playable.
The bad weather has already wiped out the last two weeks of action and temperatures are not forecast to nudge above freezing point until Thursday.
