Angry Scott promises changes

MANAGER Andy Scott has vowed to bring in new blood to arrest Rotherham United's decline.

His patience finally snapped after Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Burton Albion at Don Valley Stadium, a result which leaves the Millers without a win in six games and down in 11th place in League Two.

Despite a spirited attempt to get back on level terms after Justin Richards' early goal, Scott said he was not fooled.

He said: "Our back four got dominated in the first half because we didn't compete. The second half was the most one-sided you're ever going to get and yet you still worry the other team might score because our players don't do the things you ask them to do.

"I'm trying to make changes and get people in and I've got to because you can only give people so many chances.

"The lads that will be taken out of the side have got absolutely no reason to knock on my door and wonder why.

"It's common knowledge we are looking for someone else and you would have thought that would cause those in the side to raise their game a bit but I didn't really see that and it tells me everything I need to know."

Scott is now striving to make new additions before Friday's trip to Bristol Rovers.
