ANGLING: Mick Humphries wins with lots to spare at Kiveton Hall Farm

MICK HUMPHRIES had a clear victory in Wednesday's open match at Kiveton Hall Farm, winning with 65lbs 12ozs from peg 50 on the Bottom Pond.

Rowland Hill was second from peg 14 on the Top Pond with 26lbs 5ozs with Mick Dawson third with 21lbs 7ozs. Section winners were Ray Underwood, 8lbs 8ozs, Stuart Lucas, 7lbs 10ozs, Andrew Gardner, 19lbs 2ozs.

Eighteen anglers fished Sunday's match at the venue which saw Brian Devine take the pole position with a 47lbs 13ozs catch from peg 14. Dave Briggs claimed the second place with 33lbs 14ozs followed by Steve Harper who had 23lbs 8ozs for third. Section winners were Geoff Mawby, 21lbs 4ozs, Mark Guest, 16lbs 10ozs, and Danny Buxton, 19lbs 3ozs.

Nigel Muscroft was the winner of Tuesday's match on the Heron Lake at Woodhouse Grange with 48lbs 8ozs just beating Dave Stevenson's 48lbs into second place and Bob Palmer's 41lbs into third.

Thursday's match was held on the Dog Kennel Lake where Graham Martin's near ton-up 96lbs 10ozs net gave him victory over Nigel Muscroft who weighed 84lbs for second place and Shaun O'Malley who weighed 79lbs 8ozs for third.

The Cobble Lake hosted Saturday's match which Pete Mansell won with 47lbs. Shane Law was second with 38lbs.

Sunday was winter league day with the match being fished on the Heron, Cobble and Kingfisher Lakes. Ryan Wilton had the highest weight on the Heron Lake with 65lbs 11ozs. Ken Talbot was second with 37lbs 10ozs and Darren Denton third with 34lbs 10ozs.

Carl Roberts had the best net on the Cobble Lake with 45lbs 1oz followed by Neil Turner with 36lbs 12ozs and Daryl Newby with 32lbs 8ozs.

The highest weight on the Kingfisher Lake was caught by Logan Frizzelle with 24lbs 8ozs. John Watson was second with 21lbs 8ozs and Lee Scarbrough third with 19lbs 10ozs.
