Time to vote for someone else

So, it turns out that the pontificating anti-fascist MacShane has been ripping off those he purported to represent - just another dodgy, thieving MP.

Nothing new there, then. Now, it seems that the local Labour Party is about to field Councillor Shaun Wright as Police Commissioner candidate for Labour.

A visit to the Rotherham Advertiser archives yields the information that Councillor Wright was in charge of Rotherham Children's Services Department during the grooming scandal, during which he proved himself to be totally useless at protecting those whose welfare he was supposed to be guarding.

The Advertiser archives reveal that in 2009, Rotherham's Children's Services Department was visited by OFSTED and received "a damning inspection report", in fact it was "ranked among the worst in the country".

Cllr Wright's reponse was that"our number one priority is keeping children safe...I take that responsibility very seriously". As we now know, our children were not kept safe from systematic grooming by predatory men because their pleas for help were ignored.

The fact that Rotherham Labour Party has seen fit to choose Cllr. Wright as their Police Commissioner Candidate tells us much about their attitude to the people of Rotherham: it doesn't matter how much we treat them with contempt, or insult them, they will still vote for us because we are Labour. Wake up, Rotherham. Vote for someone else.
